Subject:I need a good Yeshiva
Question: I'm writing to you for help and guidance. As I begin to look at yeshivot for a year in Israel after I graduate high school in 2007, I'm confounded! I don't know which place is for me! I'm a beginner in Gemara - I grew up going to secular schools and all my Gemara and Tanach study came from after school programs. Although my Hebrew skills are limited, many people, including Rav Shimon Felix (from the program I came to Israel with), have told me I need not attend a beginners American yeshiva (like aish hatorah). Do you have a recomendations? Any direction which you could point me in? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,
Answer: check into shalom rav in tzfat thanks for writing! I hope you enjoy all of the site |

Subject:Ages in Yeshiva
Question: Where should I study in Israel and what age groups are accepted to yeshivos?
Answer: For a single person, Jerusahayim is sometimes the best place because there are many more opportunities there. If you come to Tzfat, you really have to know what your plans and goals are. Yeshivos and dorms tend to be for the young 20's guys and here in there you can squeeze in during your 30's. |
