Question: I was wondering, what is the Breslover view point on zionism and the state of Israel? it okay for a religious Jew to serve in Tzahal? Is the Breslov view point like Nutureis Karta or Chabad?
Answer: orthodox jews are not treated well in the army so I recommend not serving. There have been many horror stories of not being respected. Breslov and all proper jewish secs hold that Eretz Yisrael is a v ery holy place and if it will help one to grow and serve Hashem, they are for it. This is different from zionism but it is pro Eretz Yisrael for kedusha and growth. nobodies viewpoint is like netura karta, they are a bunch of nutty people who are in cherim. |

Question: I am very disterbed when Rabbi's talk about politics instead of Torah. It also bothers me when they make fun of politicians.
Answer: We learn that it is not loshon hara if something is public knowledge with more then 3 people aware of the information. Some Rabbi's i know speak about polotics, others don't. You have to find the right one for you whom you are comfortable with. I personally try to limit it. |

Question: Shalom and Shana Tova! IF you would like to be added to my friends, I need to know where you stand on the prospects of peace with the Palestinians. (Call it my friendly challenge question) Mordechai
Answer: Well I accept the challenge and will gie you your money's worth. I don't think anyone can voice their opinion on the matter unless they have lived side by side with palastinians nor walked alone in their towns here. You have no idea the real hate for Jews until you experience it here with the middle eastern strong personality of a person who truly hates you with all their being. There is no peace with people who teach hate to children and give them knives. Yes, until u have driven through a palastinian town and stopped at a red light to see a 7 year old pull out a blade at you, you don't know about making peace. So now we can begin to discuss how you might think there could be peace. What have your experiences been here? |
